Filmed over 8 years, I AM NOT A ROCK STAR follows the dramatic coming of age story of Juilliard-trained concert pianist Marika Bournaki. Shot in the USA, Canada and Europe, the film reveals the price of pursuing a dream and how much a family must sacrifice to achieve it. Winner of many awards, including two prestigious Canadian Screen Awards including Best Performing Arts Documentary, Best Editing and Best Direction.
The director, Bobbi Jo Hart, is a graduate of Cottage Grove High School.
